| The JoBoxers
appeared on the music scene in 1982 as a live band of musicians
at a time when British music was mostly production-driven.
A natural club sound, based on grooving bass (Chris Bostock), cutting
guitar (Robert Marche), strident piano (Dave Collard), rock-steady
drums (Sean McLusky), and driven by the no-nonsense singing of group wordsmith Dig Wayne.
JoBoxers music was revitalized in 2005 as a result of their hit
Just
Got Lucky being featured in the movie The 40 Year Old Virgin
and again in 2006, as the opening track for the movie 'Just My
Luck' featuring Lindsay Lohan.
Q.
JoBoxers were a great 80s live band. Any chance of them getting
together to do a concert?
A. (Chris) I think most of us would be up for
it if the circumstances were right.
Q. Which other groups would you like to see on
the programme?
A. (Chris) We played with quite a few other bands
then. 'Madness' would be an obvious choice, but there are other
great bands of the time whose music would still sound good today.
